Asleep in her Highchair

We waited a little bit too long to put Eleanor down for her nap today. She fell fast asleep in her highchair while eating a snack!

Thanksgiving with Friends

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year with a group of our friends. None of us had family in town and really enjoyed being able to spend the holiday together at our friends the Lawrence's house.

Essie!

Caroline and Eleanor's cousin, Essie, came for a visit last week. Caroline was so excited to see her since she hadn't seen her since last Christmas. My brother and his wife moved to Angola a year and a half ago, so Caroline and Eleanor don't get to see their uncle, aunt and cousin very often. My sister-in-law was in town for a week and stopped by for a visit. The girls played together, ate lunch and had a great time. We were sad to see Essie go, but excited to see her again in January when they will be back in town after visiting my parents for six weeks.

The girls had a GREAT Halloween yesterday! Caroline had her "Harvest" Party (I was really annoyed that they wouldn't call it a Halloween Party) and painted a pumpkin as purple as could be. Eleanor, dressed in her costume, went to a little Halloween party with her playgroup at a local park.  Every year our neighborhood has a big party in our park and then the kids leave from there to go trick or treating. The girls and their friends, some who were also dressed as fairies, had so much. Brett brought Eleanor back to the house for bed after trick-or-treating our street, then I brought Caroline out with some of her friends to do more of the neighborhood. When Caroline got home, she had an equally good time handing out candy to the older kids.
